There is an accessible entrance at 80 Errol Street (next to the North Melbourne Post Office). There is limited paid on-street parking on Queensberry and Errol Streets. There are two accessible on-street car parking spaces on Queensberry Street (150m to our accessible Errol Street entrance) for holders of a Parking Permit for People with Disabilities.

The 57 tram (high floor trams only) stops outside North Melbourne Town Hall. Note this is not a wheelchair accessible tram. North Melbourne and Flagstaff train stations are approximately a 15 minute walk from the venue.

Flinders Walk is wheelchair accessible via ramp from Princess Walk, or lift via Princes Bridge. There are slight obstacles on the paths, such as small cracks and imperfections on the pavement, and high traffic at the time of the event around Riverland bar that may make access to the lift area more difficult than usual. Accessible parking available in Federation Square from Russell Street or Batman Avenue (Exhibition Street extension – City Link). The Federation Square Car Park has accessible spaces located next to the lift on each level. For Taxi drop off, the best place to access the wharf is via Swanston Street taxi rank, entering Princess Walk via lift.

There are no accessible toilets on the boat. Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are located in the Main Square, next to Time Out Cafe and in The Atrium, next to IceBar.

The venue is a 2 minute walk from Flinders Street Station, entering Flinders Walk via lift from Princes Bridge, near St Kilda Road. The venue is a 1 minute walk from the 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 trams that stop at Stop 13: Flinders Street Station.

Brunswick Mechanics Institute

General permit parking is available in the carpark directly behind the venue with entry located on David St. There are 2 wheelchair accessible parking spaces located at the corner of David Street and Glenlyon Road, and another 2 wheelchair accessible parking spaces located a little further down Glenlyon Road, in front of the Brunswick Community Health Centre. The venue is wheelchair accessible via the front door (Sydney Road).

The 19 tram stops right outside. By train, Jewell Station is just an 8 minute walk away. By bus, the 506 bus stops on Dawson Street right outside the venue.

Footscray Community Arts Centre

Wheelchair accessible venue via a ramp accessed from Moreland Street. Accessible parking available off Moreland Street.

A 5 minute walk from Footscray Station. A 5 minute walk from the 402 bus stop on the corner of Moreland Street and Dynon Road. Cycle or walk along the Maribyrnong River and enter FCAC via Riverside Lawn. Bicycle parking onsite.

Hyphenated Projects

Surfaces may include concrete, grass and floorboards. The bathroom in the house is not accessible, however there will be an accessible temporary bathroom in the outdoor area.  There will be ramp access into the home and the width of doorways are on average 78cm. Please get in contact with Next Wave if you would like more details about the experience. 

Free outdoor car park, including accessible parking, available at Talintyre Shopping Centre, a two-minute walk from the venue.

A 10 minute walk from the 471 bus that stops of Fairbairn Road. The 471 bus regularly departs from Sunshine Station.

Melbourne University Carlton Campus

Many low floor trams go to University of Melbourne. The tram stop is right outside the Sidney Myer Asia Centre on Swanston Street.

The 402 bus stops on Grattan Street. Take tram 1, 3/31, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 or 72 that stops outside the Sidney Myer Asia Centre on Swanston Street. There are many options for bicycle parking on the campus. See the Disabled Parking Spaces Map and Bicycle Parking Map for more information.

 

Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre

There is a wheechair accessible ramp at the front of Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre. There are two sets of accessible car spaces around the Centre – one on James Street near the corner of High Street, and one on Westbourne Grove, near the corner of High Street.

Northcote train station is a 10 minute walk away. The 86 tram stops at an accessible tram stop right outside the venue.

Getting to Testing Grounds

Testing Grounds is a step-free, wheelchair accessible venue. There is a mixture of uneven and paved walkways and areas.

An 8 minute walk from Flinders Street Station. A 4 minute walk from the Arts Centre tram stop where the 1, 3, 3a, 5, 6, 16,64, 67 and 72 trams stop.

c3 is wheelchair accessible: you can access the side door on the right hand side of the gallery. Ring the doorbell and our Gallery Attendant will come to let you in. For assistance, please call 03 9416 4300. Two two-hour accessible on-street parking spaces are located on St Heliers Street, beside Gate One. Six accessible parking places are located at the front of the car park on the northern side of St Heliers Street. Car parks are located within a short distance of Gate One. The entrance is near a dedicated pedestrian thoroughfare and road cross over. Convent Mobility Map.

c3 Gallery is located a 15 minute walk from Collingwood Station and a 7 minute walk from the 200 and 207 buses that stop on Johnston Street. The ACF is a partner to the national RECHARGE scheme. Accessible power points are available for people to recharge the battery in their motorised wheelchairs, scooters or bikes. The power points are located externally, on the western side of the Providence building. (Please note that during markets the power points may be in use by stall holders.) Bicycle racks are located throughout the Convent and also adjacent to the car park.
